A few words about this blog, I have posted written stuff in my Hebrew blog since 2008. In addition, I self-published a dystopian sci-fi book in Hebrew. I wanted to translate some of my work, but it was too expensive, so I postponed that.
And then ChatGPT arrived!
The method I'm using for translation:
- I Translate 2-3 paragraphs at a time in the same chat. However, it still needs help with more extended parts. Otherwise, it loses the narrative.
- I checked it for logic and narrative as I wrote it.
- I use Grammarly for correction.
- I consulted with ChatGPT about phrases I used in Hebrew and their alternative translations.
- I ask ChatGPT to rephrase sentences that don't satisfy me.
- I use Grammarly for synonymous to refine words, so they'll suit my writing.
- Send to better English-speaking friends for a last check.
